Processing Notes: Cat's claw is ethically harvested by the Shipibo Indians and other indigenous tribes of the Southern Amazon basin region of S. America (particularly Peru). This area is very primitive; lacking electricity and sophisticated equipment to collect, dry or package the tribe's harvests. After gathering, the bark is chipped and laid out on racks or mats to air or sun dry.
